An easy form of analysis to use after a tournament or round of golf is ‘self-analysis’. This involves rating yourself out of 5 or 10 on different areas of the round.
How was your pre shot routine? Did you stick to a good game plan? Did you have the right nutrition and fluids to perform during the round? Were you prepared for the round? Read the tournament preparation page to see some good preparation techniques.
Doing this allows you to assess where you have gone wrong or what caused you to play better on the day.
If you were not well prepared for the round and you don’ play well, then you know that you must prepare better next time.
You have a good day when you have a lot of good, healthy food and drink with you on the golf course. You then know that this is something which you should be looking to repeat this every time you play.
Performing a self analysis after each round gives a good idea of techniques that work and that do not work. This way you can fine tune your routines and strategies to allow you the best chance of producing a good score.
