Best/Worst Shot

A good way of highlighting strengths and identifying weaknesses after a round is to write down what you thought your BEST and WORST were.

If you do this after every round of golf, you will develop a log of different shots, good and bad. You will begin to see a pattern in each category which you can assess and pick out strenghts and weaknesses.

For example, you see that you have hit a lot of good pitch shots from around 80-100 yards in the last few rounds. View this as a strength and something that you can be confident with. If you have to lay up on a hole you can try to get the ball to finish between 80-100 yards. This gives you a good chance at getting up-and-down as you know that this is a strength.

If there is a lot of blocked drives in the weakness collumn, alter your technique or strategy to ensure that this doesn’t cause any problems. Avoid using your driver on holes where there is a lot of trouble right of the fairway.
