‘3 balls 3 tees’ displays high pressure block practice. You can also put any technical adjustments to the test during this drill.
Set up 3 different lengths of putt. One at 3-feet, 6-feet and 9- feet from the hole and mark using tees. You can use your putter to measure 3-feet.
To make it more difficult, go from different angles to the hole. This changes the direction and severity of break on the putts.
Once you have 3 putts set up, go to the 3-foot putt and hit 3 balls. Hole all 3 balls before you can move back to the 6-foot putt, if you do not achieve this in one turn, start again until you do.
When all 3 balls have been holed in one turn, move back and repeat at the 6-foot tee. The same idea here of holing all 3 before you can move on. But, if you miss more than one of the 3 balls in one turn, go back to the previous putt at 3-feet and start again.
Once you complete the 6-foot putt, move back to 9-feet. Here it gets more difficult again as you are 3 times as far away as you were when you started.
If you miss all 3 of the putts from this station, go all the way back to the beginning and start again at 3-feet. If you miss 2, go back to station 2 and if you miss one putt of the 3, you can stay where you are.
The challenge is completed when you hole all 3 of the balls in one turn from 9-feet.
The increase in punishment combined with the increase in difficulty makes this challenge very frustrating. You must keep your patience if you want to walk off that putting green.
